First Voices meeting since lockdown
Mourne Granges first socially distanced Voices meeting since lockdown in March. We spent time reflecting on our experiences of staying safe from COVID-19. We also talked about the RQIA questionnaire and how it should be changed to reflect what is important to us. We hope to arrange a zoom meeting with the Voices groups in the other NI Camphill Communities in the near future.
NISCC films
On Friday the 26th June, our Manager Lizzy, was invited to join a film project. The films are to provide advice, guidance and reassurance to social work students going on placement. Especially important now because the usual expectations and realities of placement will have changed. Workshops have reopened!
Camphill Community Mourne Grange has reopened all their workshops since Monday 15 June 2020. We have implemented several safety measures to keep Covid-19 away: Social distance markings and signs throughout, hand sanitising, the use of PPE equipment, reduced numbers of people and redesigned workstation layouts in workshops. After several months being in lock-down, returning to workshops has been a relief and blessing for everyone.
