
It has been a really #positive #opportunity for a number of our #residents in #Camphill #Community #Mourne #Grange to be directly involved in this #research #project which will hopefully ensure that the #voice of people with #learning #disabilities is part of the process of learning from the #pandemic and planning for the #future. A #team of #researchers from across the #UK have spoken to people with learning disabilities, and the people who support them, to #understand their #experiences during the #COVID-19 pandemic from Dec 20 – March 21. The latest results from Wave 2 of the #Coronavirus and People with Learning Disabilities #study have been released as a series of briefings about the topics that were identified by the research #advisory #groups as being important to people with learning disabilities and those who support them.
The topics are:
– vaccinations
– digital lives
– access to health and social care
– the physical and mental health of people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and
– the impact on carers.
